Building capacity of community-based archiving
My doctoral dissertation project used Photovoice and Kuwentuhan (Filipino oral histories) to preserve and celebrate the identity and community-making and practices of Filipino queer and trans diasporic communities through multi-media workshops, interviews and an art exhibit.
We produced a zine compiling the stories of LGBTQ+ Filipina/x/os during my dissertation project titled “Healing and homecoming: Identity and community narratives of returns and reconnections among queer and trans diasporic Filipina/x/os in Montreal”.
